Thanks. This was what was in my 1979 f-100. Looked like it had been changed at one time. Outside case had 2.75 in yellow paint, but I wanted to double check.
Anyone know of a good website to run parts numbers through? Feel kind of handicapped always having to ask others.
Its a 2.75 ratio ring gear C7A is 1967 car part...the 4210F is its ID number for locating which R&P set it goes to...the R&P set p/n is C7AZ4209J- cs65
Yeah, it's a car part number, so what?
EVERY 9" ring & pinion used on 1957/83 F100's / 1975/86 F150's carries a car part number.
You cannot assume because it's a car part number it only fits cars.
You cannot assume because it has a 1967 prefix, that it was the only year it was used.
Prolly 60% of the parts used on trucks have car part numbers.
Take a look-see thru the FE engine section (60.7) in your truck parts catalog. Outside of specific motor mounts & brackets, damn near everything else is a car part number.
