Not really man, maybe have a couple friends over, maybe my cousins, not totally sure. Been playing it by ear with Claire being fussy lately. I'll probably just hit the rum soon and chill! Even that sounds great right now!!!
You??

Well when my truck starts Im gonna head into the city and go to my high school buds place. Hes a real crazy b@st@rd, so it should be one hell of a night! It is storming pretty good here, and im not quite as stupid as I used to be, so a hotel room is probably gonna happen too, that way I keep my license and the nice police officer dont get it!

Back in the day i woulda been drinking by 2 in the afternoon, driving all over the place not worrying about that crap!

Great Nick! good for you. Back in high school, I had a lot of friends that drank, and I didnt so I was the DD. It was fun, ripping around in my 5.0 till they got sick! A few 1-2-3 powershifts and their guts were in the trunk!

WOW!! A LOT more serious than what we just had done! Although, the same dog had both knees repaired back in '07. He blew out one, then after the surgery to fix it, blew out the other by using it the whole time. We have about $6k in friggin' surgeries in that dog now. My Black Lab is obnoxious, but never had anything serious medically done to him. Eh, the wife picked out the gimpy dog, so I blame it all on her.

Oh, and here's what he looks like. He's called an Istrian or Karst Shepherd. This is not my dog, but looks just like him:

Here's what he looked like as a puppy:

This one again is NOT him, but if I posted a pic of him I took, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference! I'd definitely get another one -- they're sweet dogs!! Plus, folks are afraid of him -- he's about 85lbs and looks mean, but he's a big baby.

Most folks never heard of the breed, so I figured I'd put up a few pics. Google "Istrian Shepherd" or "Karst Shepherd" and you'll get quite a few hits about this great breed.

Diesel has been real helthy till now, the vet found the growth on his gum and cut it off and had biopsy
so 2 surgeries this month and $3k+ later I hope he is good, but will have a weak jawbone
According to the surgeon this normally happens in younger dogs

Here he is when the nurse was bringing him out after the surgery yesterday.

He doesn't even need that collar. He hasn't messed with his ear even once since we've been home, so we don't keep it on him. You can see the bandage around his left ear in the collar. You shoulda seen him after his knee surgeries, though. Shaved from waste to tail. He was a sight, I'll tell you. He's never had another problem with his knees, so the surgery works!

HOLY CRAP!!! I just about wet myself. Neighbors are setting off fireworks already. Sounded like a VERY loud gun shot. I guess that whole shell-shock thing is true. For a split second, I was in Iraq mode!!!

He looks worse that he is. He's a momma's boy, so he's in the BR laying next to the wife on the floor. And I'm wearing my house shoes.

That's true. Once the bandage comes off, we'll see how he does. There are several small sutures in there that will have to come out later. Basically, they suture the two sides of the ear together so it stays in shape.

My son-in-law (the Marine) just let off a "sparkler bomb" out in the middle of the street.

Holy chit!

Shook every house on the street and sounded like a bomb going off.

Bad ***!
