You've discovered my secret Danny, or maybe it's just a mentality corrupted by the EGA. I live in a small town, and while I don't have to deal with the idiots you do, I enjoyed the fact that parents (of boys) and the boys themselves always talked about me. Stay away from that man, he's mean is what everybody said. That becomes a bonus when your little girl becomes old enough to date.
Also, don't listen to your wife. When the kid brings a boy home, you don't have to pretend to like him, or be nice. Just spend lots of time staring at him without talking. You know what the boys are after. Might as well start laying the ground work now as the mean old man of the neighborhood.

WOOHOO! i just came home with my late christmas present. dang this thing is sweet! the wife got me a 46" sharp aquos widescreen. this is like having a movie screen in my living room. any of you guys got one of these and know how all the little things work on it?

Just got a call from the vet,he said surgery went good and Diesel came through it fine.
He is still in recovery and will be monitored overnight and I can pick him up at 10:10 am tomorrow
Bet he's stiil gonna be POed at me for a few days

Stupid GMC is a total POS!
Just picked it up from the shop this morning. When it gets back we find that we'd broken a strut holding the plow frame together when we towed it to the shop. No problem we welded it up. After that we hooked the plow up and I went to work. Apparently we didn't make a strong enough weld so I ended up snapping it. Ok. Not the truck's fault. Fix it and get back to work. Truck's pushing like a champ. At this point I've finished all of our plowing and have moved on to the street because the town plow likes to make one pass down the middle when it really needs 1 pass in either direction. Get 3/4 of the street done that I want to do and go to pull back in to the driveway of the shop to turn around. As I'm pulling in the !&@*in thing dies again! I go to restart it and it's dead to the world. Put jumper cables on it and it won't start. It turns over, but won't fire. Get the tractor out and push it back into the shop. What a waste of time. Fortunately the shop bill for the fuel pump was only like $220. We called dad's old friend who is a good mechanic and he thinks it's probably the ignition module so we'll try replacing that next.
Dad's found an 01 F350 DRW with a rack body and a Fisher plow frame, but no plow. A finance company owns it so we put 2 and 2 together and figured they must've repo'd the truck, but missed the pow. They're asking 14,900$ for it and it's only got 50k miles on it. We're going to look at it some time before school vacation ends if all goes as planned.
On another note: A big old leaf blower works GREAT for clearing snow off trucks. It's just no fun when you're trying to clear the front of the bed. Snow tends to blow back at you from there.
Sorry to write a book, but that dang truck just isn't right!

Pete I hope you dad gets Smart and gets the truck see if you can't get the price down a little bit more. Is it a Lariat XLT, Crew cab, Regular, Extened, or 2wd or 4wd. Get us some details man,.

I don't remember the ad saying 2x4 or 4x4, but I don't think anyone around here is stupid enough to set up a plow truck without 4x4.
Regular cab w/dumping rack body. Fisher plow mount, but no plow. I assume it has 4x4 and is most likely XL.
It's not really a matter of if we'll replace this GMC with a 7.3 it's more like a matter of when and which 7.3 is it going to be.

THat is too high then look at your truck and what you paid Pete, you can get a better deal you can pick up lariats for that price.
