I have a 02 F350 Crew cab LB 7.3PSD and i but a leveling kit on it about 14 mounths ago. I used the new spring packs instead of the hangers so i could put the factory springs on my off road truck. to make a long story short about a week ago i found out that i had broak a leaf on the leveling kit on my 02. when i dropped the axle i found that on the LF side had 3 broken leafs and the RF had 2. of couse i am at 14 mounths and they will not warrenty anything. this truck has about 12k miles on the lift and were mostly highway. i use this truck to hall my equipment to a job site and long distance travel. What i am looking for is any suggestions on a kit that is a little more reliable. i will not give the name of the kit that i have not because that is not what i am here to do. i just need my truck back on the road.
Thanks in advance
Buddy Lee
P.S. the factory ones i put under my other truck haven't broke and in the last 5k miles about 50 miles were highway. the rest were off not that that matters.
im running the superlift springs from summit with a 900lb plow on the front. barely sags with that so i guess your heavy diesel engine would be similar. im happy with them and the price was right. 134 a side.
Buy X-code front springs. Cut your old leaves to make a 2"-thick zero-rate spring pack. Pick up a set of center-bolts and bolt the zero-rate packs to your X-code springs.
I just did this, but with V-code springs as I got a super deal on them.
Thanks Guys, i like the spec on superlift and will give them a try.the springs i had were Rough Country. i guess live and learn
To answer the question my truck was sitting in the driveway when part of the bottom leaf fell off. I saw it laying by the tire. after i jacked the truck up and removed the U-bolts is when the rest fell off. most of them broke at the center bolt.
