i dont now i think 3.54 that what the front is but i dont go that every offen it scary in my truck cause i missing 2 front lig nuts lol
If your front is 3.54 your rear should be 3.54...If not when you put in 4x4 you will end up breaking stuff... Front and rear would be turning at different speeds if there not the smae ratio...
Get those lug nuts FIXED ASAP...Kinda of dumb going 90 if your missing lug nuts IMHO
You dont need a forklift. Just jack it up and remove the tires lower it down as low as you can get it. you may have to block and jack it several times to get there but anything can be done if you want it bad enough. Just use your head and do everything in a safe matter.
Mine moves fairly well at 70 MPH (pic shows 80) in overdrive if its empty. With the canopy off the truck just idles along effortlessly with 1 or 2 psi of boost. It can take up to about 4.5% grade at that speed before smoke starts from lugging and I have to gear down.
Chances are it would still do it even without the turbo, but the slightest head wind would probably kill its mojo.
Empty pickup mine pulls nice at 2000 and with the double over you could always drop 1 over. I was going to ask you what rpm's you were running and how you liked it.
The reason I am thinking about this is I like to idle around in the mountains and like the low gears even 4.56 might be better. And sometimes I Have been known to move some very heavy loads and I like to get it moving without the throttle.
I'm 23, but was never much for the "in crowd". Maybe mojo was a little to lame even for me though.
I absolutely love the gearing of my truck the way it is. If I'm towing, I gear down to 3rd and turn 2250 RPM at 70 MPH. Perfect for my part of the world with long shallow hills and sometimes wind to fight.
If I need to move something really heavy for a short distance I just use the low range in the transfer case. It gives me more than enough torque for what I need.
2000 is a good RPM for average driving, but for ideal MPGs when empty you want lower, and for heavier loads you want higher, so its a compromise. My overdrive is optional, and thats why I can use 3rd for the towing that I need without slurping fuel or running really high RPMs.
Mine was 9MPG empty @ 60 MPH when I bought it, C6 3 speed and 4.10 gears. Ouch........after less than a month of that, the 3.08s were in.
On a good day I can now manage 13-16 MPG towing or 20+ empty (70 MPH). Although with cheap fuel it doesn't matter as much anymore. N/A diesels like this sure are thursty when you load them down though.
What the hell is mojo?.
I don't run over 70 unless I am in a big hurry so I think that would be a pretty neat setup. Maybe even 4.56 need to run some numbers but with 33" tires maybe perfect.
