shock advice please

I want to replace the shocks on my '88 F-350 crew cab. I use it to haul my 5th wheel, no offroad use. I would appreciate suggestions about brand/mfg/type shock to use. cost is not a factor, quality is. Thanks for your advice.

I'm very happy with the Bilsteins on my F150. Excellent control, especially when loaded. Ride can be a little choppy when empty, but I'll trade that for control any day. Best prices I've found are at www.shox.com

You might want to take a look at the Edelbrock IAS...Summit Racing has them among others.

You can't go wrong with the Rancho 9000 "5-Speed" shocks. They adjust to compensate for varying loads, manually or in-cab (extra cost option). I use them on my '74 hi-boy to haul around a pretty tall camper, and they make all the difference.

I will agree with that, I also have Rancho RS 9000's on my 95 truck. If you add these, the incab adjuster is well worth the money, as the rear shocks are hard to get to to adjust by hand.
