Blue or blue/white smoke:
Caused by insufficient fuel or oil consumption. Normal when engine is cold or idling for extended periods.
Excessive smoke could be caused by air in the fuel, contaminated fuel, loose or plugged injectors, worn or leaking injector o-rings, thermostat stuck open, oil consumption, or plugged crankcase depression regulator valve. Also PCM inputs such as MAP or ICP sensors.
I would think injector O-rings would be a possibility. Do you know anyone with a good scanner that can to a CCT or monitor change in rotational velocity % for you? How much oil are you using? Any signs of oil in the bottom of the fuel filter bowl?
there is no oil in the fuel filter bowl and it is not using enough oil between changes to have to add any but it poors white smoke with a blueish tint when the truck idles all the time would a good injector cleaner help if it is a plugged injector and what is a good cleaner dont think it is themostat because truck warms up fine where is the crankcase depression regulator valve located and how can i check or repair it
I'd check the hose on the MAP to be on the safe side, also make sure your air filter is in good shape. Does your engine sound louder than other 7.3's? There was a guy here a few days ago that found an injector bolt that was almost 2 full turns loose. Loose injectors will make your truck sound louder (but not enough for you to notice since it happens gradually).
i checked one side will check the other side later this week what is the MAP and where is it at the air filter is in good shape also where is the crankcase depression regulator at is it on top of the drivers side valve cover
