I WAS AS USUAL UNDER THE HOOD OF MY 1999 F 250 7.3. I cleaned up the turbo in and out .the whole engine after an EBV pedestal explosion of oil. I plugged it and later decided to reroute the CCV tubing for reasons of white smoke in excess. I condensed the smoke in a long tube attached to the ccv port to find antifreeze there..DO I HAVE A PROBLEM??????
still got a truck that barely runs ..smoke from under the valve cover white and lots of pressure there it seems...when do you get to drive this truck....ITS GOOD FOR 400000 my butt...
WOAH, slow down hoss- can you give more specifics- what do you mean by skoming in excess? A lot of us have done the CCV mod, and mine does puff both from the oil fill cap and the mist condenser tube I made (it fits in rear bumper) and that's normal. You said you have antifreeze in your CCV tube?? Are you using a used hose that may have had antifreeze in it before? I can't really see how antifreeze would get into the CCV doghouse. There are several ways to get antifreeze in the oil. They are (1) your oil- antifreeze cooler infront of oil filter (2) injector cups leaking (3) blown (very unlikely) head gasket.

Yes, you have a problem. pull dipstick and look to see if you've made chocolate milk milk yet. You've most likely got a cracked injector cup.

Smoke under the valve cover? Lots of pressure there? Explain more please. Are you sure you CCV reroute is not plugged or kinked causing the back pressure?
