Meet Ol' Jed

Well here is the old guy. I got a killer deal. This young had this on craigslist for $800.. Says it has a 351 and so on. A good kid but not to mechanicaly inclined from his own admission. Between then and now he tells me that the transmission might be shot and he'll sell it to me for $500 and I talk him down to $400. Turns out the tranny was low on fluid and moves fine when full!!!WHOOO HOOO! It is a 1979 F150 Ranger...302 with a c6. I need to look up the vin# for specifics.

If anyone knows any info the vin# is F15GKFA2352

When I figure out how to post pics, I'll post some up!!!

welcome to FTE!

sounds like a deal. sometimes you have to feel bad for people that don't know better.

...standing by for pics...

F15 = F150 2 wheel drive
G = V8 5.0L (302) 2BBL carb
K = Kansas City, MO
FA2352 = 1979

post stuff off of the Warrantary Plate and we can decode that stuff, too.

The warranty plate is on the driver's door in the door jamb. There is sometimes a printed version in the jamb under the latch. Post it on here and I am sure it will get decoded.
