My friend bridged the amp, I don't know much, but my friend that told me what to buy, obviously screwed me. Because that amp, is way too weak for those. I'm not completely stupid about this, I'm just not totally sure. With those subs, what would be my best choice to get as far as amp, giving out what RMS to each sub. And if I got a large amp, would there be that much difference in "thump?"
How much do you want to spend? I am not used to see it layed out like that, but I think 2 DVCs at 4ohm each means you can run at 1ohm and 400 watts total. Or you can wire them in series/parallel coming out to 4 ohm and about 800 watts.
I think you would be doubling the power, which should double it's loudness (dB).
The box is just a regular box for Two 12s. I am looking to get a seat lift, and the supercrewsound box for 2 12s under the seat, and get a larger amp. My dad and I are going to build a seat lift(hopefully.) I'm going to buy the box for about 170ish, and another amp I suspect will be 150-200.
What type of music do you listen too? Also what are you going for with the system? Something that sounds good to you or just impressing the friends with bass?
With electronics even today you get what you pay for. It cost $$$ if you want a big impressive system, and there is nothing wrong with that, but if you try and scrimp along you will be replacing equipment out.
If you are not going to look at competeing, still doesn't mean you don't have to have a weak system. Just be smart on your purchases, spend a little more now than spending a lot more later. Kind of like when I bought my PPI A600 back in 97 (I bought it used), And still paid good money for it, just not retail. And that amp to this day still running strong and I used to use it in competitions.

Rap/Country the most. Yeah I want to have the "hear me before they see me kind of deal.
I really just need a bigger amp haha, I think? Right?
For really loud, you need a big amp and enough of a sub to use all of the power available. When I did my MECP, one of the others in class used I think it was a MA 15" sub in a ported box with about 1500 watts or so. That sucker was loud.

It really is a progression, while loud seems cool and for a while it is, but that novelty wears off, well sort of. You may find yourself shifting as you progress with this hobby, and truely it is a hobby, some end up making it a career. But you find that your taste shift later on.
I like loud and there is a time and place for it, I just prefer it more when peoples eyes lite up and "WOW that sounds really good". And I don't have a but tone of high dollar gear. While I run quality amps and subs, some are surprized that I actually have Co-axial mids and highs.
Oh I could throw down for some Dynaudio, Skan-speak, Diamond D9's, Focals, DLS ultimate Nobeliums, Rainbow platinum line, or Morel Supremo's. But the fact that I don't want to hack my car doors, or too lazy to want to bild door pods (Thus possibly hacking into the doors). I run the Co-axials by choice.
But I digress, it's cool if you want a loud heart palpitation bass, after a while it does lose it's novelty, not to mention sometimes attention, more often bad attention than good.
If you want SPL you have to look at the option that to make it you have to move some air. Wether by have a lot of Ecurstion or a lot of surface area, or both. It takes $$$$ to do it.
