I am not really certain this is the right section for this, but I will roll with it for now. I have been poking around the Internet looking at different wrecker bodies, just to see which ones look good to me. I am very pleased with the Ashton wreckers used on mostly Nash trucks in the late 40s to their end production in the mid 50s. I have seen Ashtons on a few other brand trucks, and they catch my eye something fierce. I would like to swap the dump box off my truck for a wrecker body, but I do not know where to find one or if it would even fit. Local junkyards is a good guess, but there is just too many junkyards in the world to go through all of them. A kind man told me a Holmes 525 would be a period/ weight limit appropriate unit for my truck in case I can't find an Ashton. Although I like dump trucks and trucks having originality, I want to be a tow truck driver. Always have, always will. I can't say that success is guaranteed in the field on my own behalf, but I am almost done HS and need some direction. I figured I could try to make my truck a part of my life while I wait to join Corrections when I am 21. Even if I do not have a truck suitable for the size( length) of an Ashton unit, I have many years to find a truck to toss one on. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated, thank you all for your time.
