I have the edge Evo installed .
My truck wont start or run .
I remember reading somewhere that the Edge Evo was also a scanner?
Anyone know for sure, and should I uninstall it until I get my truck running?
Yes, the Evo is also a diagnostic scanner and can pull Diagnostic Trouble Codes. Choose DIAGNOSTICS from the MAIN MENU and then choose RETRIEVE DTCs. If you do that and post them, we'll be happy to tell you what they mean.
P1212 = Injector Control Pressure Lower Than Desired
If the truck was running fine with the Evo installed, then that's most likely not the problem. Any of those codes could be the cause of a no-start issue or it could even be related to something that doesn't set a code, such as a cam sensor.
1- Check engine oil level. If oil is low, it can cause a problem feeding the HPOP and result in the ICP codes you're getting.
2- Diagnose that the glow plug circuit is functionally properly.
3- Verify cam sensor operation by observing tach signal on the dash. If there is no RPM when you're cranking, then you most likely have a bad cam sensor.
That's all we've come up with off the top of our collective head. Please let us know the outcome!
If the the ICP is bad, the truck SHOULD still start. If the IPR is bad -- i.e., stuck open -- then it can't generate enough pressure to fire the injectors.
Without being able to actually monitor what the ICP is reading, it's hard to diagnose the high pressure system any further.
The truck will start with the ICP unplugged, so feel free to try that. I would suggest you take the truck back to stock to make sure you still have the no start condition.
Oil level good? Low oil can cause a no start with ICP codes. You might also check the oil level in the HPOP reservoir. Did the no start begin right after you installed the Edge? Did you follow the directions when installing?

P1212 & P1280 commonly lead to an IPR issue.
No Ive had the Edge for a couple of years, it isnt causing my issues.
Ive got a IPR coming off Ebay, it should be here in a few days hopefully.
Just to throw this out there, tuners used to pull DTCs will only pull the general DTCs, not manufactor specific ones, so you might have other codes on there that you aren't reading that might give a more specific clue to what's going on. Just something for future reference, I found this out with tuners when I got ahold of a DashDAQ and I was able to pull Ford specific codes that I didn't realize I was giving because the SCT wouldn't pick them up. You may not be giving other codes right now, but just keep that in the back of your mind.

Good point Tex, but typically ICP codes are what we would consider manufacturer enhanced or non-OBDII codes. Also, these codes do fit with the issues he's having, but it is something to keep in mind.
