do i need head studs for the edge evo ht tuner?
im getting new head studs soon but if i run the edge tuner will it still be good if i run the tuner?

 

edge products are not preferred for our trucks, the SCT is much better and what most people with the 6.0 run.

 

Why arent they preferred? ive heArd alot of bad things about the sct and good things.

 

I think the Edge might be worse for an Auto tranny but my father in law has a manual 06 6.0 and uses an Edge and hasn't had any problems with it in over 100,000 miles.

 

the consensus from all I've heard on here and MY experience has been the opposite, that some of the edge tuners created problems with the trannies...

I personally had the sct on two excursions and it ran flawlessly until they were traded in on the newer 6.7 trucks... then I sold the sct to someone on here that is still using it.= (I presume!) Not into tuning anymore on either of the two new 13's in my signature, they perform well enough as they are ! good luck on your decision...

 

A tuner would be the last on my list of things to buy.

Do ALL maintenance items first as well as ALL the common upgraded parts for your 6.0. Make sure everything is 100% before the tuner comes.

I would be doing a ton of research on here if you already haven't done so. You will get better responses to your questions if you go ask the guys in the 6.0 forum. LOTS of great knowledge from those guys.
