Body lifts are usefull for tucking a little bit bigger tires on a budget.
But i'd only ever put a body lift on if i needed new mounts and stuff for the cab and what not.
I dont see any point in working on that stuff otherwise.
Then you gotta raise the bumpers, yada yada.
Mine as well just go for a susspension lift unless you need to replace mounts.

we were at a christmas party at my friends house.... turned into a night of drinking and playing rockband 2 on wii. lol

the body lift is easy to do, not really a hard project. and most come with bumper brackets. when done right they look good.

Why don't you go with the 3 inch lift shackle reverse from Sky Manufacturing?

That's not an option on a 250 with the stock TTB front axle (its been done but its not recommended). If he put a dana 60 up front then its and option.

see, look there you go, another ttb basher...lol as i always say, when set up properly the independent will always outperform the solid axle.

I have 315/75/16 BFG's and I kept wearing out the inside of the tires due to it. Dana 60 solved all though

ok well plans are im buyin Epd444's lift when i come up with the funds. hopefully next week after i pay off my ticket tomorrow (if they are open). i looked on skyjacker for my center hinge drop bracket. Product Search - Skyjacker there's the link for the class 2. i hear the two piece sets break easily so is this what i want? how much will it cost me estimated?

stephen.south, please explain how the sole fact that you had an independent front axle caused the premature tire wear? if you have the alignment set properly there is no issue.

john, i have no clue how much that bracket will cost, you can try skyjacker to get an msrp, and try to locate a local dealer from them.

that's the one, you can see it has 2 sets of holes in it for the axle to bolt too, that way if you wanted to go up to a 6 inch kit you dont have to buy a new bracket......
