4 X 4 Front Hubs

My 2003 F-250 (manual hubs) is approaching 80,000 miles. It's been carrying a 2,000 lb. camper all it's life on stock-size 265/75-16's, and has seen it's share of washboard dirt roads. As of now, the original hubs have no problems - what I'm wondering is:
  • Should I be starting to think about replacing them?
  • Do I go with the OEM's or the Dynatrac kit?
I've heard it both ways: - Dynatracs are beefier and serviceable, but OEM's
are sealed against dirt & water.
- Whoever services the Dynatracs isn't going to
be able to duplicate the factory tolerances, so
they will need servicing more often.

THANKS FOR ANY USEFUL INPUT!

The factory units are lasting over 100k and I believe FM is making replacement bearings, LM102949 and 15101. When I get around to it, I'll just do Federal Mogul bearings and be done with it.

Those are replacement bearings for the F-250 front hub/brg assy?

Dyna trac is a big investment. Benefit is the bearings are common that could be cross referenced by any competent parts person, but you wouldn't be able to pre order based on application without knowing the bearing and race number. The servicing wouldn't be a problem in the field as far as factory specs are concerned. I would use a quality OE replacement personally, and I never venture far enough away to have to worry about the possible reliability issues of the factory hubs. I think if they were at least greaseable they would last longer, but oh well. The manual hubs don't have any influence on the bearing assy.

Well, one reason I'm asking is that I use this truck for trips to Baja, and I do tend to get into some remote spots.
