For my christmas present i have seen im getting the edlebrock preformer 390 intake for my 360 ford truck now that said im hoping to get the carb an edlebrock 650 cmf thunder series carb to go with it. Im wondering to the people that have put the edlebrocks on these trucks before is their adapters I need to hook up the kickdown and throttle linkage cables that edlebrock sells or some independent retailer sells? Thanks

my computer again told me of your post lol and nice to hear the nice present! i am getting a 1974 f-? tailgate for Christmas, it comes with the complete trim and is rust free!, the main reason i want it, is the complete trim, but it was taken off back in the 70s so its rust free and mint! the owner says he took it off due to the fact he got a camper, so it was hardly used! 
and for 175 bucks its a deal! and he says the rest of the truck is rotten, but the best part is the gate! and he sounds like a older man, so i am great full for him keeping it! and i am guessing he is the original owner, so if looks half as good as it does in the pics its like a time machine!
