boost gauge flutter

ok guys i am a little bewildered here! i got some gauges installed and everything was fine. i was reading a 28-29 psi spike on my boost gauge which is normal. about a week after i installed the gauges i got my 4" turbo back exhaust. after i installed that i took it out for a spin. noticed that my boost now spikes at 30 psi, which i can deal with, but for some reason now the needle flutters once i gain over 20 psi of boost. it didn't do that before i put the MBRP system on. i tapped into the intake elbow for the new boost tube cause i read that is the best place to get the most accurate reading.

does anyone have any insite as to whyit's doing this. is it a gauge issue or something a bit more serious?

Hey mxer0022, come to think of it, on my way north today mine was doing the same, with Erics street tune. Not sure why, max I seen was 35psi. Although it was -35*c here today, yeah thats f@%$# cold man !!!!, it ran great all the way for 8 hours with a winter front on, no problems. Not sure why it was doing that. I watch the gauges faithfully, and can't step on the accelerator either, little dangerous on icy and snow covered roads. Never noticed any differences in power or responsiveness, just that it did flutter at times ????
