The stem seal can be "snugged up a little" using a hammer and a 5/16"
deep well socket.

The low-side-extra is my original but it's a dangged side-outlet. ;)

I installed a new thermal expansion valve with my original compressor
rebuild and was un-happy with the results. :/ Then realized one day the
TXV needed adjusting! LOL :) Sure as heck didn't take much turning but
sure as heck fixed that baby right up! :)
~3/16 of a turn all together was needed to fix mine??
Anyway ~1/32 of a turn was the last little "tweak" I did to mine.
~41*F vents was the result, down from ~55*. :)
And all that with less high side pressure too. :)
