Probably 3 quarter of the expense in fixing tractors could very well be tires. I still cant see a 8N Ford not running bringing more then 1000.

Most parts are cheap for an 8N, afew years back a complete engine overhaul kit with sleeves/pistons/valve components/bearings, etc was only about $400.
The complete exhaust system including the muffler and tail pipe for the 800 was under $50!
Most parts for the 800 are still available except for the ones I really want, might have to EBay`em.

i went and looked at the tractor at JD, its actually in decent shape and i know it's been running as soon as 3-4 months ago... i dunno... my voice of reason(wife) is wondering where i'm going to put it and what i'm going to do with it... sadly, i got to agree... might have to shelf another dream.........

Problem solved Sherm and no need to shelve anything, certainly not your life long dream...
Here`s my fool proof plan......
You bring it here since it`ll be great company for my 800.....we`ll see to it that gets it`s daily exercise once the weather warms up.......

Yeah they are dreamers there! Everything is overpriced there. My one boss got a treadmill from there one time, spent over 3 grand on the damn thing, I couldnt believe it!

It was for his girlfriend, who rarely used it, and I do believe they ended up selling it not long after he bought it, for under a grand.

He likes to waste his cash on impressing (or trying too) people.

No I didnt buy it, although I probably should have! It was really sweet, good quality, but ive seen em sell for 500ish bucks less from other places.

i could get the one affore mentioned for 1500... its actually not a terrible deal. it runs well and all, but i think i'll wait until i have a spot to put it where it can stay...
