4x4 stuck in neutral but will go in 4L (SOVLED)
Ok folks another problem I can't figure out.! My 99 f150 4x4 4.6 5 SPEED... Went to engage into 4H and noticed that it was in neutral and it will not budge into 4H and into 2H.! It will only go into 4L... I do not understand how it went out of 2H and into neutral like that or when it did.? I'v had to have a rollback to come pick it up twice this month for other repairs. Is it possible that the rollback guy did something to cause this.? I don't see why they would even have to mess with the 4x4 to get it on the rollback... I'd like to hear some thought on this as to what happened to the 4x4

since you have a 5 speed, you might have a manual engaged 4 x 4....... look under the truck at the transfer case and see if there is a cable that runs to your floor shift.. cable or linkage is STUCK....... Have heard of the shift / linkage below the console freezing up and STUCK... clean and lube.
