have a 2002 F150 Lariat super crew with 5.4 l engine. Several years ago I replaced the EATC head as I had the dreaded a/c only going through the defroster vents issue. Now, it is doing the same thing and I thought, here we go again.
Now I see the Service Engine Soon light is on. I went to Autozone but my OBD II scan port wouldn't work. I came home and did internet search and see I probably have a blown fuse, as one of my 12v power ports is also not working.
I am wondering if the EATC problem and the Service Engine Soon problem are the same, namely a vacuum leak ? Any ideas?
Thanks for the details on the EATC self test. I had watched a youtube video on the test but it was not complete information. For instance, it did not warn me the test could be inaccurate if the internal temp was over 90 degrees. This is nearly impossible right now in Arizona, without the a/c. Catch 22.
