The 330 HD is an FT engine, the 352 is an FE engine.
While the engines look similar, they are not the same.
The FT engines use a different head gasket than the FE's.
A 330 HD head is the same as the 361/391 head: 1964/72.
The 330 MD head is not the same as a 330 HD/361/391.

Whatever it came with originally. All my old Fords have their original stock engines.
The 352 in my truck is now a 390, but the heads and block are the originals.
The 4V manifold is from a 1966 LTD, as is the carb.
The 390 crank, rods and pistons are genuine Ford, as they were still availabe in 1981, when the engine was redone.
