I have 70 fioo and Im putting a 460 in with a 5spd manual from a 95 with a 460 can I use manual clutch oe do I have to switch to hydralic thanks for any help
Does it have the fork that engages the clutch with a slave cylinder? If so you probly could make your manual work but I would keep the hydaulic. I intend to swap in a 5-speed on my truck and am going to make use of the hydraulic system for sure
Its a buddy of mine truck driver likes to shift, I figured it might dont want to go through the hassel of resevoir and getting the right throw on the pedal thanks anyone else got any Ideas let me know OH ya it has the fork to engage
Hey one more thing do you know of a kit for the resevoir and rod parts , His money is better than a lot of my time figuring things out got my own projrcts
Just grab one out of the truck you get the trans from or grab a new one from parts store. It looks kinda like the old single ones they put on the Falcons and has the rod in it. Measure down from the pivot to the hole or pin for the rod on a new truck, then do the same on yours drill a new hole and press in the pin your done. As for the lines its the same as brake line so that should also be fairly simple to make one up. The one I am using came from a 95 F150 and is pretty strait forward. I was worried to death about it being very difficult till I got looking at it. Man these are a dream come true no worries when the chassis flexes or linkages misligned or anything just bolt it up, bleed it and go
Thanks for the help, just tryin to learn a little before I have to get to work,Should run good when done its actually a stroked 429 lots of head work will post a few picture when done
