Ya, the Effie intake is taller
and combined with the larger throttle body is designed for lower end torque (is what I was trying to say) as for the cams, on the PI heads (99+ Mustangs and 01+ F150s) the cams are the same (according to part #). There is still lots of debate that older non-PI heads have different cams.

Being that there is only a difference of 10hp between the 2 motors, the use of a tuner will even the playing field (at the crank). I agree that the weight difference will also make them perform different.

The simple ported heads tht all other 4.6 come stock with. An ideal setup for a
4.6 2v f150 would be the head swap and intake aswell as headers cai electric fans
A custom tune and some gears in the diff...under drive pulleys and of course a pair of
Mild cams tht will open up those vavles...I got a 12.2 sec truck with tht setup and some
Tweeks here and there
I want deatails on your truck with the tweeks !! Full details. I am hoping and praying for a 14 sec truck

I have a 99 4.6 2v...... Have 78mm bbk tb Cai. Bama tuned 5 speed 3.73 rears. Under drive pulleys electric fan..... Accel coil packs e3 plugs Edelbrock high flow fuel rails..... Is there basically anything else I can bolt on besides headers to gain a few more hp?? My next step I really wanna cam it out but not sure what lift and duration to look at. I wasn't a very rough idle and a strong mid-range pull...... Any ideas would be very helpful it's my first build. Thanks for ur time

still eager to learn about these mod motors as ive only owned one for about 4 months now.....i do love that grumble its got, which is why im going exhaust first
Do you know its possible for me to do anything with my throttle body setup seeing that its a drive-by-wire system? Also are there any programing options for me? I've got a 09 f-150

I don't know, but you have an '09 with a 2V? That seems unlikely.

Why is that unlikely? The 2V 4.6 L was an option until 2010, and coexisted with the 3V engine from 2009.

Yeah. That's what I've got. I'm highly certain seeing that I've changed the valve cover gasket in it. I'm new to Fords so I could be all kinds of wrong. Can you tell by looking at the Cams?
