Are all off the 4.6 3v motors the same? Meaning, are the 4.6 3v that are in a 2010 mustang the same that are in a 2010 f150? Trying to find parts and torque spec's online and mustangs keep coming up. And I have a f150.
Engine block material was iron(trucks, explorers,etc..) or aluminum(mustang). Also, with different power outputs I would bet that there are cam, tuning, and intake manifold difference, though I think the actual heads themselves were the same.
I honestly don't see a reason for those parts to be any different, but I don't know for sure. I'm pretty sure the oil pump was the same across nearly all of the modulars from 4.6L to 6.8L. The phasers I'm not sure, but like I said, I see no reason for them to be different.
As far as I know, the big differences between the Mustang and F150 4.6L 3V was the the block, cams, intake manifold, and ECU. F150 engine was tuned for torque, Mustang engine for HP, which is where those differences come into play.
