With my 2001, I've been asked MANY times, "light duty" or "Superduty"?

I don't know why, but it appears that the F250LD has made it into the parts books way past 2000. It's just slightly possible it's still offered in another market, say Canada or Mexico, or somewhere, and the parts database manufacturer didn't remove it from the US catalog.

Given the confusion us enthusiasts have about the 250LD/7700 it's not surprising.

But what I want to know, is are the parts he's getting for a 250LD w/ 7 holes, or some other incorrect 8 hole rotor?

8 holes with incorrect holes. looks like the right rotor when you go to put it on but when you get it up to the studs they are ever so slightly off so you can't get the rotor on the truck.

I ordered front rotors for my 99 from NAPA and I received the wrong ones. I think it has to do with the listings of build dates. Parts guy told me it states "to" or "from a certain date. I returned them and had to go to Adanced Auto since it was the weekend and I could not wait for another shipment. At Advanced the same thing happened. After a third trip I finally had the right ones. Stupid me I threw out the receipt and don't have the right part numbers. Now when I need new rotors I'll have to go through this ordeal again. By the way, I have an early build 99.

looks like your parts guy is right. I finally found a dealer with some competant people. (there are two ford dealers with in 15min of me there were 3 but one closed) they just got a new parts guy from syracuse area. really seems to know his stuff but anyway. I told him what was going on and he took my vin and printed off a 4 page report of every part in my truck. part # and all told me that the most likely explanation was that my 01 was built 08/25/00 so I most likely have some 2000 parts in there. so I am just going to keep this report in my truck most places can cross reference ford part #s so I shouldn't have too many issues now. and to top it all off I finally found out what my trucks gear ratio is.thought I was runnin 3.73 turns out Its 4.10. most productive trip to a dealer yet
