Well Russ, I'm going to have some pictures for you tonight. LOL
When you first made the comment I was thinking about this truck I've seen around the neighborhood, couldn't remember if I had taken any pics. Today it was out for a parade, and parked on my street!
I was able to talk to the owner. The short story is that he was on the fire department, put a bid on this truck when it was retired. He let it sit for 10 years before he decided to restore it. He did the body work. I asked how many hours he had in it: "Gawd, I don't know. I filled over 200 holes, took it to a shop with a 40-foot paint booth."
Russ, it has a Fenton brand header. Sounds pretty wicked through those dual stacks! LOL
Rambler, I have never seen a header made specially for a 391, but you might try useing some shorties from sanderson. The headers will block off the FT exhaust crossover, if you care. I wouldn't think no crossover heat would be a problem however. I weld mine shut and run in Michigan in the winter. If you have a healthy ignition system, your engine won't even miss it.

Wow !!! Well I'll tell yeah Mikey ! If I had a Fire truck that looked that sharp, I'd sell the rest of my trucks and use that for a daily !! I'am kinda partial to them old Chevs, My Dad use to V8 um.. back in the day...and I learned to drive at the age of 10 in a 41 Chev, that Dad had rodded, with a small block and a 4 speed hydro trans, Sunvisor etc. Its was trick...
Then when I was 12 I bought a 52 from a neighbor...and fixed it up ..sold it, well my Dad did..and then we bought a 54 5 window, and rodded it, It had a 327 vette motor and a 4 speed, it was channeled, shaved , and lowered, would have been chopped, but we didnt know at that time how to do it.. Dad painted it Candy Red....It was sharp! My X wife propbably still has all my pictures of those rides... Or she burned them?
