Just one more addition to my total trust in BFG Mud Terrains. We just got a bunch of icy crappy weather and the mud terrains weren't as bad as i had thought they would be on ice either. I know you said you'll be running winter tires but i thought anyone else who might not be might be interested. They slipped a bit, but not as bad as my buddy who has yokahamas mud tires.

mud tires are bad when it comes to rain...... not terrible, but not perfect. buyer beware.
it depends on your ultimate goal..... some ppl want a hard core tire for wheeling, some ppl want to look cool.
personally i am in the look cool crowd and hope it does its intended purpose and gets me laid! lol.... lets see.... yes... i have had the truck for about two months and it has accomplished it's mission! lol.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-Dec-01 AT 02:09 PM (EST)]I didn't like my BFGs, they sucked in the snow and rain up here in CHI-town. Like was said above, M/Ts are notoriously bad in the rain and snow though. The Generals I am running now are 100% better than the BFGs when it comes to the snow and rain though. BFG does have a new design out on there M/T and I hear good things about them, but I have not used them. If you are looking for the rough look combined with good over all traction onroad as well as offroad, look at the Pro-Comp Xterrain...

or the Goodyear MTRs...

both have had great reviews from various drivers.
Ryan, are the mud terrains you have the newer design? I looked at those wranger MT/Rs and they are much more expensive then the BFGs, not worth it to me, 700 bucks for 4? no. I think i'll stay at 525 with the Muds.
I do have the new style mud terrains. They have changed the pattern of the lugs interlocking slightly, but more importantly the side lugs have been added, which helps a ton. My buddy has the old style and they aren't nearly as good in the snow. And they do look a lot cooler than the old ones.
