for the first 5 years of it's life, when my 88 was not on escort duty it was towing a 17,000 lb mini excavator around.
it has also pulled a loaded tri-axle out of a ditch,
a john deer 450 dozer out of a swamp,
and i did a "stuck truck" recovery that ended up being 2 dodge ram-chargers, 2 toyoda puckups, 2 jeep CJ's and an international scout out of a swamp in one big freight train pull.
i set the truck on the paved road, locked it into 4 low, and started pulling on the 3/8 case hardened chain hooked to the first dodge. each of the other trucks was hooked to the one behind it all the way back to the scout, which was the first one stuck.
the rest went in to pull each other out, and ended up getting everything stuck.
My truck weighs 6500# empty the gooseneck trailer I was pulling weighs 7000# empty and the JD 1219 MOCO I had on it weighs 5000# so my gross was 18,500. I know it's not nearly as impressive as what some of you guys have done. The fastest I went was 50 mph, I could have gone faster but stopping quickly wasn't going to happen.
It was 85 miles to go pick it up going 65-70 mph and 85 miles back going 40-50 mph and I got 11 mpg, I thought that was pretty good.

That ain't nothin' to sneeze at. I used to run my Dodge all over the country side with a fifth wheel on at 18-20K and it was a work out for it.
