91 to 88

I found a complete 88 crew cab minus the engine cheap and need to know what it will take to put my engine/trans in it from my 91. The truck is a diesel/C6 and mine is an E4OD. I would like a crewcab but wouldn't want to spend alot on this. I figure the engine/trans and maybe the steering column and any other things that are related to the E4OD. Thr truck is also a dually and I will switch the rear end and bed - I don't need a dually. So, would this be a real pain or simple?? Thanks in advance!

Just a lot of swapping parts.

Since you have one to pull everything off of, it's just a matter of changing them around.

You'll need the entire front/cab wiring harness to run the E4OD and controller. That would be the easiest way, rather than cutting and splicing everything. The rest is like Dave said, just swapping parts until you have what you want.
