Another vote here for the AIS. Ran the 6637 for a year but got tired of the noise. I like the superior filtration & factory look. Also got mine from powerstrokeshop.com

If you remember the stock box had two clamps on one side and two plastic tabs on the other, the plastic tabs tend to break off and then leak.

The AIS has four clamps, one at each corner, and seal much better than the stock box. The biggest problem with the AIS IMO is the cost and availability of the filters, that's what made me switch to the 6.0 filter.

Just out of curiosity, what has to be done to make the 6.0 filter fit?

I had to go find my old one on the shelf in the garage to see what mine was.....been awhile since I've seen it. I have two clamps total, only the metal ones. I never had any plastic ones at all. One clamp each side, katty-corner of each other. Obviously with the pitting and dings on my compressor wheel I posted earlier.....the stock box does a crappy job of filtering, plus I had the K & N drop-in filter. Didn't take me long once I found FTE to be educated on that mod

Looks like you did a good job. Have the AIS filters come down in price since you did this or have you noticed? Also, is that you coolant filter mounted where the intake used to be?

I haven't priced them since I switched, but the least expensive source I could find for the "real" blue AIS filter was around $70.
And yes, that is a coolant filter.
