Tires

I did a quick search but i didn't come up with anything.

Can anyone suggest a good tire that they have used, its that time for me especially with the snow that will be coming.

any suggestions / inputs are appreciated!

I have ran the Nitto Terra-grapplers which lasted about 47k and was happy with them. Firestone Destination AT's are on now and I dont have any complaints. Both wore good and even and thats with 135k and never had an alignment.

I always had good luck with BFG All Terrains in the snow. I now run BFG KM2 Mud terrains, and they aren't as good in snow, but they are insane in the mud!

Goodyear workhorse extra grip not cheap around 900 for a set. If you do alot gravel driving and snow these are what you want. Not bad highway noise.

Another vote for the Toyo's. Good wear and quiet on the highway.

I just...

put a set of Yokahama Geolanders... 265/75/R16 (load range D) on another vehicle of mine and I am very impressed. Tread depth at brand new was (dont quote me) 18/32's.

Got the whole set for about $650.

Recently had the opportunity to try them out on the beaches down in Cape Hatteras Nc. In my honest oppinion... they are as good as the BFGoodrich all terains of not better.

Andy.... out...

Thats wierd I thought the KM/KM2s would be great in th snow due to the deep lugs.

I have used the nitto's, bfg's, and toyo's....all are good tires I liked the nitto's best. I am currently running Dick Cepek fc2's and they look great and run great. My only complaint is road noise, at highway speed they hum like crazy

They start out at 17/32nd. I have run mine for 18K now and still have 12/32 on front and 13/32. Seem to wearing really well, no noticable noise, I am very happy with the performance all around.
