i cut the egr pipe to get the intake off, the exhuast pipe after the manifold is rusted and will need to be replaced eventually,
i could get exhaust off a junkyard donor from the manifold back, or get a set of EFI header's and all new exhaust... if i got the headers what would i do for the EGR? would a stock one work?
is there anywhere to find a replacement egr pipe? possibly a dealer item?
I'm not sure if you can get a replacement EGR pipe. I just swapped my manifold for the EFI ones, but I had to cut my EGR pipe too, or I'd send it your way.
Are you meaning EFI manifolds or headers? (Confused about the EFI headers part. I'm assuming EFI manifolds. Either way...)
If you're interested in going to the EFI manifolds, it's a little work, but nothing serious. However, the EGR pipe's will NOT match up. The EFI manifold EGR pipe goes out towards the rear and over the back of the engine, whereas the carb EGR pipe comes forward and up underneath the carb.
Currently, my EGR pipe is blocked off so that I could drive it. I'd like to have it hooked up but I spent a month and three different engine forums asking people how I could make my own custom EGR pipe, and no one could come up with anything. Flexible exhaust pipe won't work because it's not flexible enough, and it has to be pretty specific stuff because it's high temperature exhaust.
As for swapping to the EFI manifolds, if you're thinking of doing it, go for it. After they're on, you can buy and have shipped 4 pieces of exhaust and you can have the whole thing put together from the engine to the tailpipe. Premade downpipe from the manifolds to the cat --> cat --> muffler --> tailpipe. I have the part numbers if you want them.

That would be good. Please post the part numbers and the source for these parts. Thanks,
Don't know of any piece of equipment specifically designated "EFI headers"? Not sure what the OP is talking about. The Cliffy headers have bungs welded in for the sensors otherwise one can get bungs and weld them in any set of headers. If one gets the Cliffy headers and doesn't need sensors then just screw in plugs.
As far as costs go, get some estimates from muffler shops, parts houses, catalogs, etc.,...do some shopping around.
Not sure what the OP is talking about...I don't know of any part specifically described as "EFI headers". The Clifford units have bungs welded in place for the install of sensors if needed. Any set of headers that will fit can have bungs welded in for that purpose.

Why. Clifford sells long tubes, mid length universal hot rod and efi headers, each have their own part number. The universal hot rod and efi are simillar, only exception, one has the egr/02 sensor bungs present, the others do not. So technically, they are the only company that sells a header specific to the efi engine.
But any header will physically fit, and all it needs is three bungs welded in to keep the efi functional. I think this is the better choice too, as the hedman headers are inexpensive.
If you dont have access to a torch, then take pbblaster. Although most junkyards have the tools/torches and anything else on hand, cause they need them to yank parts off to turn a buck thenselves, just ask.
Sorry I didn't get back to you with these right away.
Keep in mind that this is for the EFI manifolds, not a header. Secondly, the tailpipe is for a Bronco. All you need to put it together is some clamps (the pipes slide into the muffler and cat) and a straight pipe to connect the cat and muffler.
