I have 2 things wrong with my truck, this time. I have a 2002 super crew 5.4 lariet fx4, and I have had it from day 1. The truck has about 90,000 miles on it. I just got the service done to it. Well anyway, when I start it up for the first time of the day she blows out a bit of blue smoke. I have checked the oil it seems to be full on the dipstick. Just in the last few days when I start it it howls loud does not seem to be belt noise it comes and go's. Thanks in advance. Andy
ive read in some posts on here that it could be the pcv valve sticking causing the blue smoke i personally have never had it gum up, the howling sort of sounds like a noise i have first thing in the morning sometimes and i think it is the fan running

Or one of the bearings in the belt area. I think cold weather can cause this. Had different vehicles that did this when it was very cold.
