So, I went to spartan's site to cruise through the tune archive that I have been hearing so much about, and it is gone. I went to the forum, and read that Spartan is no longer writing custom tunes for the SCT programmers. So what am I supposed to do? I paid for unlimited tunes and I would be awfully upset if I am SOL on this deal...
I forgot to mention, they also have disabled registering on their forum, so you can't even ask a question over there...
Wow, I would DEMAND a refund if they won't support the lifetime custom tunes. Then I would happily take that money over to Eric at Innovative Diesel. I'm running Spartan's free tunes now (downloaded them all) and will until I delete my EGR, then I'll get custom tunes from Eric.
I have been hearing all kinds of good things about spartan. I went to the site the other day and could not get it to do anything. At the time I assumed it site care or something like that. Maybe they are ............. retiring.
Well that realy stinks. Maybe they took our life time tune money and went to the islands? If they are not going to offer me tunes any more I will just NEVER buy from them again!!!

From what I hear they are nearly impossible to get ahold of on the phones as well as email. I don't have time to call them (I can be discreet about being on the net), and I am planning on emailing them, but I need to go pull the new strategy off my truck before I do that, so that I have all the info I need in my mail to them.
My guess is that due to their no longer selling SCT equipment, as stated right where the archive link used to be, that perhaps SCT was not happy that there was a free database of tunes available. Might have seen it as taking away business from their other reps. I wouldn't condemn Spartan at this point without knowing the reason for the change.
Anyhow it was a good thing while it lasted.
As far as the lifetime tunes issue I am not privy to what that was about. I would just contact them and see what their intentions are regarding that.

The free archive has been a source of problems for the other SCT tuners(the people) and as such SCT finally did cut Matt off from tech support among other things for his tuning software, although he was still technically a vendor, but because they cut him off he was de facto dead in the water to them. I can't go into the whole issue, but the archive is dead(unless something has changed since I got my info last).
I don't know how the carry over for some people are going to be that were tuning customers when he was doing SCT tunes, but he is going to be writting tunes for his new tuner that I am beta testing now.
Guys, the SCT archive is no longer up because our contract with SCT was terminated.
This was not by choice- I am no longer legally allowed to write or provide SCT tunes in any form or fashion. They now view our company as direct competition because of the situation with 6.4L tuning, and revoked our contract.
Short of legal action, there is nothing anyone can do...other than customers calling and raising hell at them directly. Feel free.
If people chose not to buy from us because of this, well... it's pretty small minded- but do what you please. I'll be more than happy to offer discounts on our Phalanx once the project is complete.
For everyone who thinks they got "screwed" let me remind you of a few things- we sold our SCT's with UNLIMITED tunes for the same retail price of other vendors at the time. We also put up our archive for free, for anyone who wanted access. This caused quite a bit of complaining from other vendors to SCT, and so did our situation with branching off on our own with 6.4L custom tuning. They've been looking to get rid of us for a long time, and they finally got their way. Some other vendors simply chose to close their doors for "personal" reasons, essentially putting a middle finger in the air to people who had purchased. Our situation wasn't by choice....and we are still here.
If anyone needs tunes, I downloaded them all and can email them on request.
I would like to get their tunes if you would be so kind, I'm thinking of getting a SCT X3 and I wanted to get their tunes and to my surprise the archive is gone and I thought I looked at it this morning.

So no sleep for you for a while Matt you best get cracking, those new tuners will be welcomed by many people now we cant get your tunes for the SCT. Speaking of tuners when are the 6.0l tuners going to be ready? I guess I will be making a hard copy of the custom tunes that I have now. That last ASE tune is the best all around tune I have ever had in my truck.I would post the milage but no one would believe me anyway.
Its like 85mb total. PM me your strategy and I'll email you those files.

I think you have to have a certain amount of posts in order to do that. 25 maybe, or that might just be for a siggy, but I'm pretty sure there is a post min. in order to pm.
