Well I don't have my X3 yet so I guess as long as you got them I can get them from you. I don't have head studs yet what would be the best tune for me. I'm new to custom tunes aswell the banks that I got goes pretty good.
Tex I believe I was talking to you on the spartan forum just looking to get something different then what everyone has around here were I live, everybody just goes and buys one off the shelf (canned tunes) around here
I read what Matt G. posted on page 1. Quite frankly, the service went to pot long before any "free archives" were made available, and also long before SCT cut them off. People were complaining loudly, to no avail. My question would be this, If anyone were to buy from Spartan again, how long before the service starts to stink. Small minded is a matter of opinion. I get a bad meal at a restarant, I dont go back. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!
phish555.I would say the same thing but sometimes a costumer has to wait 6 or more months for my work and I told them I will be there in a couple months. Matt is a young man that got more success with his talent than he could handle. Then he had a dream of a state of the art tuner that was not restricted by info fed to him by others. If he does indeed come to market with the tuner he has plans for it will be revolutionary and you will want one.
Guys, the SCT archive is no longer up because our contract with SCT was terminated.
This was not by choice- I am no longer legally allowed to write or provide SCT tunes in any form or fashion. They now view our company as direct competition because of the situation with 6.4L tuning, and revoked our contract.
Short of legal action, there is nothing anyone can do...other than customers calling and raising hell at them directly. Feel free.
If people chose not to buy from us because of this, well... it's pretty small minded- but do what you please. I'll be more than happy to offer discounts on our Phalanx once the project is complete.
For everyone who thinks they got "screwed" let me remind you of a few things- we sold our SCT's with UNLIMITED tunes for the same retail price of other vendors at the time. We also put up our archive for free, for anyone who wanted access. This caused quite a bit of complaining from other vendors to SCT, and so did our situation with branching off on our own with 6.4L custom tuning. They've been looking to get rid of us for a long time, and they finally got their way. Some other vendors simply chose to close their doors for "personal" reasons, essentially putting a middle finger in the air to people who had purchased. Our situation wasn't by choice....and we are still here.
Selling your programmer with unlimited tunes for the same price as everyone else was YOUR choice. These are the facts. I bought my tuner from you, talked to you personally on the phone about it, at the time, you were selling a christmas special, 3 tunes and tuner for $350, or unlimited for $400. I decided what the heck, I might want some more tunes later, so I got the unlimited. I got 3 tunes from you and that's all I've ever gotten. Now, I can't get what I paid for.
I don't care about your other tuner, I'm not spendin that kinda money on something like that, especially when I already have an X3. I paid for unlimited tunes, and now I can't get them. I'm not gonna buy a phalanx, or anything else from you, because like someone else already said, and my dad has always told me: Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Brickie, if you communicated with me that I had to wait a certain amount of time, I could then accept or decline your services. Communication is the key.
Not sure why you are ******* spartan you pay an additional $50 to get unlimited tunes that you cant get anymore. Just from what I'v read and from other forums. You got custom tunes not canned for $400. Have you priced out other tuners you would have had to pay alot more the $400 to get something that would not even compare to what you got.
Like has been said earlier their are other tuners you can get tunes from. I am glad that I downloaded all of the archive.
You are correct, I can get tunes elsewhere, but I already PAID for them. Here's an analogy for you...
If I go to a buffet, and it is all you can eat, its the same price as a regular plate across town, and they pissed in their suppliers wheaties, thats not my fault...Are you saying that I don't have the right to be mad at the restaurant because they screwed up?

That was me. This is very different then what SCT has to offer and I believe a very good package that I'm glad Matt allowed me to test for him. Bullydog(which is the only one that I can think of that has a digital monitor that is somewhat like the dashdaq) doesn't offer near the parameters that this one can do and plus it is really really easy to datalog with this device, whereis I remember on the xcal 2 it was difficult. I had to use my laptop and have tuner hooked up to the truck's computer and hooked up to the laptop. My girlfriend had to hit the start and stop button so I could concentrate on running the tests. This is so much easier the the xCal 2(I don't know about xCal 3, just have experiance with xCal 2).
I'm sorry that some people feel the way that they do about some things and I think they'll be missing out but that's up to them. Matt has done right by me and I'll continue to support him.

I would really like to try some custom tunes I'm afraid I would be hooked. It's great to have people like you that would not only test it but let the other people know whats going on with the product

Thats the difference, hes done you right! Id support him too if I felt that way. Maybe its by no fault of his own that STC cut him off, or maybe it is his fault. But communication is what was needed. Not the ol ignore everyone and maybe they will go away attitude.
cartmanea i would love to get those tunes i got one at one point but its on a different computer and that computer messed up so i dont have it anymore i would really appreciate it i was shocked to here all this news its like i always miss out for some stupid reason haha anyway i woud be much abliged if you'd send them to me

So what? I paid what I paid for unlimited tunes and I expect to get what I paid for. I should have known better than to jump on the bandwagon...

I'm not saying it was a picnic for me to get ahold of him. It isn't, but unlike some people I want the right tune, not a tune right now, particularly during a test phase of any "contraption". Even though it takes him time, I know he'll get it done, so I wait. Sometimes I've waited longer then other people, but he has always gotten back to me.
