Those pistons have valve reliefs in them, so that might compensate. Does the piston info say the volume of the reliefs? The old pistons, were they dished or flat?

You might have 3 little things adding up here. Even if they did, it doesn't seem like it would cause this level of trouble, but all things need to be examined methinks.
And if it's correct, he is probably mismatched for both combustion chamber size and intake valve size. One side of the engine run better than the other?
Yeah,I've already checked that,but haven't miced the valves yet.Hpoefully some one machined it to match.But yes,according to the numbers,they're a mismatch.
