Glenn might of hit this one on the head.
Since its a 99.5 then it would have the old style clutch fork(weak) they have an upgraded fork for about $35 from the dealer.
Might try taking out the slave cylinder and stick a small tool mirror in the hole and shin a flashlight at it and see if u cant see if its bent before you go buying parts.
EDIT: Welcome to FTE!!!

Since I wrote that thread I have had the tranny back out for a new clutch, transmission, and Kevlar pilot bushing. The stock Ford pilot bearing self destructed and took out the OD bearing at the rear of the transmission. Loud rumbling noise with clutch engaged and tranny in neutral.
And for a good laugh, this is what Kris (Stroken_it7.3) said in the next post.
He's come a long way in that time.
wow big transmission! i wouldnt know where to start if someone handed me a transmission and said "fix it"

You know, some things stick in my head forever, while other things just fall out of my head. As another example of something I cannot get out of my head from your gallery, and I've been meaning to ask you Dan: Have you got something you might like to share with your friends here on FTE?
