On Board Computer (Lie-O-Meter) question...

I have noticed that when I am starting to get low on fuel the "Distance til empty" starts to act kind of wacky... for example.. If it says i have 100 miles to go til empty, i can drive about say 2 or 3 miles and the meter will say I now have only 90 miles to go til empty...

What Up????

That is a good explanation on how it works. Never go by that, unless you know for sure it is right. Once you tune your truck it will get worst. Sometimes my lie-o-meter will say I have 650 miles to empty. I know that is wrong, I never got 550 out of my truck.

Mine has always done that too, even when it was bone stock.

Its scaling... the closer it starts getting towards empty the more accurate I find it gets. Its just like transferring large file across the Internet, the estimate of total time left gets more accurate the farther along it gets because there are more packets of data that it can derive an average speed from.
