Go to your user cp, and go into signature, should be able to post one that way, the one by your name is your avitar, you can change that too

Not a dumb question. If you click on "user cp" on the menu above, it will give you a menu of different options. Pick "edit avatar" and you'll be able to load a pic next to your name. After 25 post, you'll be able to create a signature, and put your name, a pic, or whatever you'd like in it.
