Curious on this on the MM. I just bought a new one cause my cord was bad. but didn't know till I got home. bought both the kit and just the cord. luckliy it was just the $16 cord and not the $40 kit. I ohmed it out and only got around 15 on the new one and one in my truck. curoius were the 40 came from? is mines wierd or something.

but what fun it was at 19 deg and now on the ground. luckily the engine was warm so it was easier to handle.

so well see if my fix worked caues the truck don't start below 20 deg with out it pluged it. I know I know. it should, but since I can't fit my truck in the garage I can't do the glow plugs just yet.

15 ohms is good. The heater is approximately 800 watts, which works out to 18 ohms at 120 volts. 40 is too high, thats only 360 watts of heat.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help support from all that posted. I got my plug in yesterday and installed it in the bumper as I had seen someone else on here do. A nice and tight hole that is a just a hair over 17/8" holes size. Looks better than I thought that it would. Don't understand why Ford did not do something like that from the factory??

Thanks Doc.

Hey Jorge,

I mounted mine right above the black plastic divder next to the drivers fog light. I can take a picture of it, just not sure how to post a picture on here.

I did like the plug that I got from Bass Pro shop. Nice looking and easy to install plug.

Doc.
