Howcome?

I bought a new trailer today, and when I was towing it my transmission started skipping when shifting into overdrive, it would keep revving up and down, so I unplugged the electrical and then it shifts they way it always does. What could be causing my transmission to shift funky just bc i am plugging in my trailer lights? Is something shorting?

Sounds like one of the wires is in the wrong place or possibly shorting out to something else. did your light check show everything hooked up correctly?

Sounds to me like your truck is working hard --right at the shift point for overdrive---I don't use o/d when towing unless it is really flat---I live in NH--not really flat anywhere !!!
