I sure hope I have no spun any bearings yet... Sure does not sound like it, but I have not let it rev past 3000 ethier. I'll see if I can get a gauge hooked up a soon as possible
But I live outside of denver in the foot hills.. The snow ain't bad, but we have been spoiled and this is our first big snow of the season, first time snow has stuck to the roads... And these idiots don't know how to drive. I love the truck otherwise though...

You would hear it if it had failed!
My brother lives in Denver and has some houses above Breck too.
I have 800+ lbs of tools in the back of my p/u and can break the rearend loose at will in 2x in the snow with the torque of a 460....
Idiots forget how to drive, every year around here...
Yeah we just sold the condo in frisco... But we have a cabin south west of here... I plan on running 6 70 pound bags in the back dull of sand... That should be enough to keep me semi planted... It needs new rear tires too, once I get those, it should grip better too...
Thanks for the help. I appricte it. My das thinks the truck is the biggest POS ever, but it will do what i need..The truck is slow, but it sure ain't from not having power... I don't want another fast car, they get me into too muuch trouble....
I agree powesteering and a/c are not needed in a race car.... I'm putting a carbed 351 in it so I have not done much to the 4.6 in it...
yeah i don't really like the mod motors much either they are just a pain in the *** to work on, i thought you had a fox body mustang with a 5.0 that's why i said i've built/worked on a few but i havn't done too much to the newer mustangs with the mod motors, a carbed 351 would be way awesome though!
where would my oil pressure sending unit be on this 460? I see the oil filter and did not see it. But I have not gotten on the snowy ground with it yet. Although I see a bung I can put my aftermarket sending unit in, just have to pull the plug for it...

I have an early '87, carbureted.
On mine, it's at the back of the block, on top, sandwiched into the center of the intake manifold, and looks like a small tin can.
I think it must pick up off the rear cam bearing.
I will take a closer look tommorow in the day light. Thanks... got it home still no oil pressure... so 20 more miles or so today, 40 miles no oil pressure it would be a shot motor and i would be hearing every rod and main bearing...
Well, I am going to run some 20W50 today, change the oil... But the powersteering is now making more noise... We will see, it needs an oil change anyway, I'm going to put some lucas oil stabilizer as well...
