Hey Stosh, what has worked for me in the past is to slide a length of heater hose over the wiper arm. That way the W/S won't get scratched. It's a lot better than tying a rag around the arm, which has a tendency to freeze when it gets cold.

Oh, and you had to scrape the INSIDE of the window in the winter. The heater ducts were rusted and there was NO heat!

My wife owned a '73 VW bus way back when. That thing had virtually NO heat, even when everything was "working" perfectly. Had to drive it about 50 miles before there was even any noticeable heat at all. No wonder that the gas fueled heater was the #1 after market option for those things.

If so, is there anything that I should look out for?

Will they clean my windshield better than no blades at all?

LMAO

The ones for the Escort require less resistance to move across the windshield then ones for the truck so be sure to coat them in Vaseline.

This should provide smooth sailing.
