But i dont wear boxers!!!! For the record i didnt say i didnt have a successful marriage, i love the warden very much. Her and her cast iron sized 9 frypan. I didnt know frypan therapy was a course taught in school, evidently she got straight a's! Oh and for the record watch out for the redistribution of wealth economic plan!!!! What is hers remains hers, and yours becomes ours!!! Was there an instruction manual i didnt get to see, that at least warns of these surprises? Good luck, it is all what you make of it, you wanna succeed........?......... Then strike divorce out of your mind. modern day divorces are so prevalent because everybody believes things should be easy, including the way out! dont threaten it, dont speak of it, forget it exists! If you love her enough to marry her, then be ready to love her through it ALL!!!!!!....... and if not i refer you to my 1st post! Hahahaha! Dan

I didn't get scared off........my internet just derailed for a while.

Thanks for the advice and some interesting ideas. I'm 26 and she's 27 so we're financially secure to an extent. Also if the last 18 months hasn't torn us apart then maybe we'll be alright. We had been dating 3 months when I lost my dad last year and then 3 months after that she lost both her grandpa and her stepdad in the same week. I'm not really sure how it gets tougher than that.

As far as the unauthorized Harley, that has not not been cleared yet but I HAVE been given permission to buy an old muscle car to play with. And since she prefers mustangs, a mustang it is.

The icing on the cake is that she wants to go to Oktoberfest for the honeymoon. How awesome is that?

Congratulations...

Now on a more serious note:

Remember these words: Yes Dear!!!
You no longer have to think on your own, she knows everything!!!
Whats hers is hers and whats yours is hers!!!

The best thing I ever did was to accept that no matter what the argument, decision, question, etc. she is almost always right in her own mind. The only recourse you have is to convince her otherwise witha well thought out idea. Otherwise, just give up. It is easier to accept that you are wrong and hse is right than it is to argue and fight.

I just started telling her that from the start, keeps all the guesswork out of it.

When having an argument and you are absolutely positively certain that you are right just stand right up and say;

Yes honey you're right , I'm sorry!
