I might be wrong, but I believe the VSS is digital, so it will be a DC current that increases the faster you go. I can't remember well, but it's probably going to be low voltage, say in 1-8v range.
Well going on the grey/black wire idea, I found a second harness close to the radio harness and it had the right color so I gave it a shot. Seems to be working, just have to take her for a drive to see if its accurate. Thanks for the help.
