B. How much of a performance increase is there and is it noticeable?
C. Can you install a double set up with 2 6637's (like side by side kind of set up?)
D. What type of exhaust tubing do you use for attaching the filter? ( i have read it is a 3 to 4 inch long piece of 4 inch tube) Is it ok to use "flexible exhaust hose"??

A. I get none.
B. I don't think I got any.
C. Don't forget to take pics of this. Might have to relocate the Batt.
D. I used a 3" DWV coupling and another hose clamp to install mine.
A. The only new noises are the turbo "breathing". I like it...
B. A little, maybe. Really, you'll need it when you get tuned. Lot's more air moving through the system. When I replaced my 14 month old 6637 with new one, I noticed a 2-3 psi increase in boost. It flows 425cfm, according to FleetFilter. The stock filter is only rated at ~260 cfm, IIRC. Imagine what kind of restriction it is with tuning!!
C. I doubt you'll get anything but a longer service interval. But then you'll have to replace two. I say keep it simple! There are guys running A LOT more air through theirs than you will with no problems.
D. Most use the left-over piece from the exhaust system (you ARE getting one, right?? ). That works unless you have a CC LB, then there are no extra pieces. Or you're an idiot like me and throw it out. Fortunately, there are a few guys here on the site that have extra from time to time and can hook us up...
I just finished this mod...I got a 45degree 4inch exhaust elbow from Lordco..NAPA will have it as well...was a tight fit...can't imagine 2 of these *****'s in there...
Drone is a low bass sound that some of us get after installing the 6637 while driving at highway speeds. Its noise thats always been there, but is now magnified due to the lack of an air box. A home made cold air box takes care of it. 2 filters would be way overkill, 1 flows more than enough.

You'd have to relocate the battery, but it's been done!! If you have an early 99, you need the 4" OD 45* elbow. His is an '02 like mine, so it can either go right on the intake tube (like I ran for months), or you can use the 3-4" long 4" OD pipe for an adapter.

Unless the early 99 has been upgraded to the late style intake like many of them have been. My early turd had the late style intake on it, sure simplifies the 6637 install.

Overkill ... is my middle name and I use it way too often....
I was thinkin' how cool it would look with 2 6637's side by side. But.. not gonna happen with the advise given.
So... before tuning the engine ... you should do the intake and exhaust mods? right?
Def. want an intake and exhaust before tunes at the least. A good set of gauges is also a good idea.
Edit- dang, Rick be fast for a short bus passenger

Thats why the short bus. To fast for the long bus.
Yep -- the above advice is spot on. You need the gauges because after tuning, you can run these trucks well into self-destruct mode. You need to know where you are in that continuum...
The reason for the tranny mods (either aftermarket VB or kit like the TransGo) is that you MUST get the tunes to match the mod'ed tranny. Might as well do it first. I did mine after and it cost me $50 in reburns from DP. Then I went & switched to Tony Wildman's tunes anyway... lol...
EDIT: Oh, and you want the tranny mod'ed. It will shift much better and last longer due to increased holding pressure on the clutches -- that = less wear & heat, which = longer lasting tranny...
