I just removed the fuse box. The 2 big square wire blocks that were bolted to the back of the fuse box are where my problem may be. Both blocks show moisture around the pins where the blocks plug in. I would guess that is the problem. Can silicone be applied around the blocks when I put them back in?
Well i've posted a similar question awile ago and was quitepleased that madsopp answered my question and was right on about the problem. My expo was doing the same thing but worse things came along ie;the gauges started acting funky, the relay switches started clicking, the wiper would start working then not work at all,too much to list finally i went to a dealer and was told exactly what madsopp said there was a drip in the sunroof rainguard causing water to trail its way to my gem module located on or around the fuse box causing a short in the electrical system therefore sending the wrong signals.Anyway try to see if this problem exsist even when it does not rain or snow.I hope you don't have the same problem it's a hefty price tag i still haven't gotten mine fixed i just don't drive anywhere until i can find someone more reasonable than the dealer.
