OK smart alec...welcome the s...don't try to scare them away!!!
I'm not easy to scare, thanks. Have you seen the guys that are willing to wrench all day for free in the pits at the racetracks? That's a scarey bunch. All my friends too.
Seems like a great bunch of people around here and LOTS of knowledge. I wish I had all these resources 20 years ago when I first started rebuilding cars. Learned a lot the hard way.
AleX here from Norton, MA. You may have seen me on the side of 495 last year in my first Ford truck. Occasionally pulled over trying to fix something, and then finally, upsidedown on one unfortunate night. Every speck of Ford that was in that 84 F250 HD saved my life though, and so I couldn't help but go for one again, and am currently riding around in a 79 F150 4X4 adorned with every color primer that they make, I just couldn't make up my mind.
I am in college studying agriculture and mechanical engineering right now, and work for a mason in the summer time.
Bob from Southwick here. (2 towns west of springfield)
I'm 19, and going to college at STCC in Springfield.
Own a landscaping business, and too many Ford F350's.
1965 F350 FE, 85 F350 Short Wheelbase 6.9, 85 F350 Long Wheelbase 6.9, and my Dad has an '03 F350 Crew Cab, Long Bed, SRW he bought new-it now has 150k.
Newest project is transplanting the '65 body onto my Short Wheelbase '85 Chassis...nothing better than modern chassis components!
The names Richard. New to the Chapter but not to FTE. I live in Billerica, just south of Lowell.
Full time business student at UMASS Lowell, but some how still find time to work three part time jobs. I manage a parking Lowe's parking lot for snow removal, I work for a towing company and i manage my own, and I work in a garage when I need the extra cash.
I drive a red 97 F-350 PSD that had 24,000 miles on it in Nov. 2006 when i got it and now has 96,000 miles and a bunch more power.
Hey Mike,
Nice to hear of another STCC graduate, I graduate this spring myself!
That sure is my Trusty '65 haulin' hay, workin' is what it does best!
Lookin' forward to a GTG (Get Together) to get to know everybody!
Welcome Richard. '93 alum of UML myself. It was still ULowell my first two years there. Was still a respected Engineering school then.
Ya it has changed a little bit from then I'm sure, but I don't think it's changed to much. It is still a very good engineering school but I'm not sure if it's still ranked as high as it was. But for being a cheaper state school it's deffinetly the best bang for the buck engineering school around.
