My gf has an 05 Explorer with 4WD and a V6. How hard is it to lift these trucks? I'm not thinking anything crazy, just a couple inches or so of suspension lift, and taller tires.
265X75 is the largest I've seen on any stock Exp from early 90's and up. There a little taller than the 70's. A buddy had them on a 93 and 95 but It'll rub a bit. 05? My friends son has one that he lifted somewhere around 4 inches and had a mechanic on his off time do it at home. BFG 33x12.50's on chrome rims and lift cost him 6K! He should have got a free jar of Vaseline?
Independent suspension all around makes these really hard to lift. I'm not aware of any company that makes a lift kit for it, so you're going to pay an arm and a leg. Is it really worth it for a few more inches of ground clearance on a truck that probably won't see the mud? No, if you ask me.
